Qube Lite Field Tested for Real-World Operations at Tourmaline’s West Wolf Lake Gas Plant

We spent a rainy day in August out at Tourmaline’s West Wolf Lake Gas Plant. With the support of the NGIF ETC Program, Qube Technologies is testing our continuous monitoring tech in real-world operational conditions here.

Two Words: Qube Lite

Qube Lite, an intrinsically-safe, lower-cost continuous monitoring device developed by Qube Technologies and currently in testing.

What is Qube Lite?

It's our new intrinsically safe, lower-cost continuous monitoring sensor, designed for near-source deployment. Perfect to monitor emissions from individual equipment (e.g., tanks, separators, wellheads, etc.).

This deployment with the support of NGIF Accelerator Emissions Testing Centre (ETC) Program comes after initial testing at Qube’s own Controlled Release Testing Facility (CRTF), west of Calgary, AB.

Upon activation, the Qube Lite devices immediately began monitoring as evidenced by detection of some small releases from the tanks. Below is an image of Qube’s user-friendly dashboard with Qube Lite deployments indicated by the colored circles.
