Qube Platform Release 2.61: Sharper Emission Classification and Expanded Source Coverage
Qube Dashboard 2.61 delivers two targeted updates for operators who need more granular control over emission data. The first expands the volume classification options available in the Event Log, giving teams a structured way to categorize emissions by type. The second adds a new source category — Anchor Trenches — designed for RNG and biogas facilities that manage covered lagoons and containment ponds. Both updates address gaps identified directly through operator feedback and are built to reduce manual reconciliation, improve data consistency across sites, and produce defensible records for audit and compliance.

Expanded Event Volume Classification
Release 2.61 adds seven new volume columns to the Event Log:
Total Volume
Fugitive Volume
Incomplete Combustion Volume
Venting Volume
Nothing Found Volume
Unclassified Volume
Ignored Volume.
Operators assign values to these fields when creating or editing an event on the Events tab, and all volume data carries through automatically to exports alongside any comments attached to the event. When a comment is added to an event, a comment badge appears in the Event Log for quick reference during review. This structure replaces informal workarounds — such as storing volume breakdowns in freeform comment fields — with a consistent, queryable data model. The result is a cleaner audit trail and a more defensible record for regulatory submissions, certifications, and internal reporting, without requiring any changes to existing workflows.
Capture emissions volumes from events in Qube’s platform with more classifications.
New Source Category: Anchor Trenches
The Anchor Trench category is now available as a source classification within Qube Dashboard, added in direct response to requests from RNG and biogas customers.
This classification addresses emission source characterization for covered lagoons and containment ponds. Applying the correct source category at the point of detection ensures that methane volumes are attributed accurately at the site level.
Track emissions and localize events to anchor trenches with the new classification.
